Kidsport Funding

KidSport is  a fee assistance program that subsidizes sport registration fees for eligible kids through a standardized application process.

For those under 18 years of age, PSA programs eligible for KidSport funding include: Adapted Golf, Adapted Kayaking/Paddleboarding, Women and Girls Sledge Development Series, Junior Sledge Hockey, Wheelchair Floor Hockey, and Bowling

Eligible Edmonton-residing families may receive:

How the KidSport Grant Programs work:

1.      Families register their kid(s) in a sport program/season.

2.      Families then apply (via onlinewebform or paper form) for a KidSport grant.

3.      Once a family is approved, KidSport sends the funding directly to the Sport Club

Jumpstart funding

Jumpstart’s Individual Child Grant program provides financial assistance to help children from low-income families participate in sport-focused activities.

Grants cover eligible registration and equipment costs of up to $300 per year, per child. Check out their website more information on grant eligibility and the application process.
